We may not have gotten photos of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce from their grand pre-wedding celebration just yet, but the glimpse we did get just took my breath away. Selena Gomez looked absolutely striking for her best friend’s rehearsal dinner, which took place at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden last night.
The “Lose You to Love Me” singer was timeless in a strapless black gown from Oscar de la Renta, with a semi-sheer base and lace flowers embroidered all over. A high leg slit on one side created some welcome drama.
Styled by Erin Walsh, Gomez wore the sophisticated, ultra-romantic dress with black stilettos from Jimmy Choo and diamond jewelry, including dangly earrings that resembled English ivy, from Fernando Jorge.
Hair stylist Renato Campora styled the artist’s dark hair into the most regal high bun—highlighting her edges. And makeup artist Soo Park gave her a stunning cat eye, balanced with smoky, rosy shadow, pink blush, and a subtle berry lip.
“SEL in the city 🖤✨” Walsh captioned an Instagram post featuring photos of Gomez’s ensemble. Hours prior, the Only Murders in the Building star herself shared an Instagram Story clip of her beauty look while on her way to the event.
Now that is how you master bridesmaid style.
Apart from Gomez, several of Swift’s friends were seen heading to MSG yesterday evening for the celebration. These included Jack Antonoff (Swift’s longtime musical collaborator), and his sister, Rachel, as well as sports commentator Erin Andrews, the pop superstar’s longtime best friend Abigail Anderson, and Swift’s feared-and-respected publicist, Tree Paine. Tonight, the Swift-Kelce wedding will reportedly take place at the same venue, with a cocktail set to start at 4 p.m.—but only time will tell.
