Huawei is reportedly working on a new MateBook Fold PC series model that will feature a compact design. Instead of adopting the same 18-inch folding structure, the company may use a small, portable design for the folding PC to boost convenience.
SuperDimensional on Weibo has recently shared a list of Huawei devices that may launch in September this year. The list includes new phones, tablets, and a small foldable computer.
The tipster said that Huawei has a compact MateBook Fold PC model in the pipeline for 2026. The device will likely debut alongside the Mate 90 and XT 2 tri-foldable.
Even though the leak doesn’t shed light on the specifications, design, or any major upgrades, it suggests that the company is planning to launch a small Fold PC after a compact wide folding smartphone called the Pura X Max.
MateBook Fold PC debuted last year. It is the world’s first 18-inch large fold screen device with an intuitive display panel. It has an ultra-thin, lightweight, and an extremely impressive appearance.
Huawei’s first foldable computer breaks through imagination and is quite extraordinary. While the PC market already has many foldable concepts, the company introduced a massive folding laptop, supporting the largest basalt teardrop hinge that enables seamless switching between landscape, portrait, and folding view.
Now the company is reportedly working on a new compact foldable PC and may launch it with the upcoming Mate smartphones. The specs and features of the alleged small fold PC are under wraps at present. Hence, let’s wait for some time to get more revelations on this matter.
