Jakarta, IO – A health worker checks a resident’s blood pressure during a Free Health Screening (CKG) service in Kemayoran, Jakarta (July 2).

The Free Health Screening (CKG) program enters its second year in 2026 with a new focus on ensuring that people diagnosed with health conditions receive continued treatment and follow-up care. The shift marks the program’s evolution from providing routine health screenings to strengthening disease management and improving public health outcomes.

The Government is currently strengthening public outreach to encourage more people to take advantage of the CKG program. Residents only need to bring their national identity card (KTP) to access the service. After registering, participants undergo a health examination followed by a consultation with a doctor to discuss the results and receive guidance on preventive measures.

According to a Health Ministry survey, the CKG program has found that millions of Indonesians have risk factors that could develop into serious illnesses. Screening results from tens of millions of participants identified the most common conditions as elevated blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, central obesity and oral health problems.
